In 1963 Thai Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. was established under the subsidiary of the Thai government. The first production began in 17,600 square meters factory located at 12/3 Moo 9 Soi Intapat, Petchakasem Road, Nongkhaem District of Bangkok.
The first production of PVC pipes utilized innovative technology from Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., the leading Japanese PVC pipe manufacturer. From this technology transfer, Thai Pipe has developed its own technology to the top level.
After 38 years of consistently manufacturing high quality PVC piping with reasonable price, "Thai Pipe" has established a high-profiled brand name.
With the increasing demand for PVC pipes, the second factory was constructed on the area of 208,000 square meters in Nongkheam District, Bangkok. Equipped with the latest machinery and computerized technology from Germany, the company boasts a flawless production line that has seen output increase from 8,000 to 50,000 tons per year.
Thailand's developing toward a Newly Industrialized Country (NIC) during the past 10 years has led to a rapid demand increase for PVC piping. To respond to the dynamic expansion of the pipe market, we had strategically set up production facilities in every region of the country. Currently we have the total production capacity of 250,000 tons per year. The regional facility setup allows faster delivery and low transportation cost while bringing the latest piping technology to every part of the country. This expansion also helps increase the rural employment, which is one of the nation's major policies.
After almost 40 years of incessant development, we have moved from a pioneer to the leader in manufacturing of PVC products and to become one of the leading PVC pipe manufacturers in the world.
To better serve our customers all over the country and to reduce transportation cost, we have set up four provincial factories aside from the two main factories in Bangkok as follows:
"Northern Thai Pipe" A joint venture with Northern Construction Association, began its operation in May 1992. This 48,000 square meters facility is located in the Northern Industrial Estate, Lampoon Province. This plant manufactures uPVC pipes, fittings and flexible hoses. The products from this plant are also exported to Burma, China and Indochina. |
|
"Southern Thai Pipe" Started production in 1994 on 576,000 square meters of land in Songkhla Province. The factory produces uPVC pipes, fittings, flexible garden hoses and PE pipes to compete with other Asian piping manufacturers. |
|
"Eastern Thai Pipe" This third plant was located on approximately 480,000 square meters of land in Bankai District, Rayong Province. The production began in 1996 to supply markets in central and eastern Thailand, and to export to neighboring Cambodia. |
|
"Northeast Thai
Pipe" The fourth plant of this project was open in 1998 in Banpai District, Konkhaen Province on 240,000 square meters of land. This plant supports the demand of the whole northeastern region of Thailand and Indochina peninsula. |
With the latest technology, we are able to manufacture high quality products with reasonable price. Increasing production capacity results in lower costs and enables us to export the products to our neighboring Indochina and other Asian markets.
